Rust Disease:

First appreance is yellow then progressses to red, then brown, elongated pustules enlarge in rows parallel to veins, that rupture leaf epidermis; reddish-brown spores

Slime Mold:

Milky with to gray, almost translucent, slimy, irregular-shaped covering turf up to 12 inches; eventually turns ash-gray to purplish


Pythium Blight:

1 to 6 inch diameter patches of irregular shape or even streaks; leaves initially water-soaked to greasy, then turn tan; white to gray, cotony mycelial growth my be evident in early morning on green leaves

Red Thread:

Spots 2 to 24 inches in diameter, but typically small, light-tan spots with distinctive reddish cast; pink to reddish mycelia threads extend out 3/4 inch from lesions on teh leaf or pink gelationous mycelia mass
